Design Development
The design approach emphasized creating a sophisticated yet child-friendly identity that would communicate Michigan Avenue’s academic excellence. The mascot and visual elements were developed to subtly reference both literacy and STEM education, incorporating symbols of learning and discovery that would resonate with students while impressing parents and community members.
The identity system balances playful elements appropriate for elementary education with design sophistication that reflects the school’s high academic standards. Color choices and typography were selected to convey both approachability and educational excellence, creating a distinctive presence within the Osceola County School District.
Special consideration was given to applications that would support both classroom learning environments and community recognition, ensuring the brand works effectively across academic materials, school communications, and external marketing efforts.
